Transport with Horsemanship

 Transport can be one of the most stressful experiences a horse encounters. New environments, unfamiliar routines and travelling can all be challenging, particularly for young horses or horses with limited travelling experience. 

At Harmony Horsemanship, horse transport is about much more than simply getting your horse from one place to another. It's about making the journey as safe, calm and positive as possible by understanding the horse behind the lead rope. 

Based near Ballarat, we provide horse transport throughout Ballarat and the surrounding districts, servicing locations within approximately a two-hour radius. Whether you're relocating your horse, purchasing a new horse, attending a veterinary appointment, or transporting your horse for training or competition, every journey is approached with your horse's welfare as the priority. 

We tow with a RAM and use a 2 horse straight-load float. Other options are available - please get in touch if you have a specific request.

Because foundation training is our speciality, we are experienced in working with young horses, inexperienced horses and retired racehorses. That understanding allows us to recognise when a horse needs more time, a different approach, or simply the opportunity to process what's being asked.

Not Every Horse Loads Confidently, and That’s Okay.

If your horse needs a little extra time or support before travelling, loading assistance is available. By taking the time to work through the process thoughtfully, many horses can develop the confidence to load safely without unnecessary pressure or force.
